▪️Brenda owns and operates Iron Maiden Welding in Bozeman, Montana. She began welding at a young age, taught by her father who was an electrician and an overall handy man. She has been creating and selling her own work since she was 16 years old!
▫️Brenda reuses scrap metal and various materials to create beautiful pieces of art. Anything from shovels, to decorating entire cars. If it’s metallic, she can turn it into something amazing.
▪️She attended North Idaho College for welding, and she has worked many jobs including restaurants, bartending, building horse trailers. But her heart was always stuck on welding, so she made the jump to full time working in her shop. Brenda says it was scary making that decision, but she couldn’t be happier!
▫️Although she has never had any trouble attracting clientele, she does still encounter prejudice and judgement for being a woman. People often have a difficult time accepting that the work is her own, and not her husband’s. It doesn’t slow her down or discourage her, Brenda rises above and continues to do what she loves.
▪️ @ironmaidenwelding WOW. Your story is phenomenal, and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to share it! You are a true inspiration, and your work truly reflects your love and passion for welding!
