Meet Andrea!! (@andie.from.electrical)⬇️⬇️

Andrea Davidson

▪️ Andrea Davidson is 31 years young and is completing her 309A construction and maintenance electrical apprenticeship in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦🍁 (Girl I work in Kitchener! We are so damn close!)

▫️Andrea attended Concordia university in Montreal, Quebec on a wrestling scholarship. During that time she got a severe knee injury. She completed her degree in religion and returned back home to Kitchener and enrolled at Conestoga College in the electrical industrial technician program.

▪️While completing that program, she worked with two builders over the next year and half. She then started her apprenticeship with a local electrical company, where she gained a ton of knowledge and had the pleasure of working with some amazing people!

▫️Over those five years, she has had the honour of working with local schools to promote the trades! (Emphasis on women in the trades!) She has spoken to and worked with students in grades 5-12. She hopes to continue that long term into the future with events such as Skills Ontario, Jill of All Trades, and Build a Dream.

▪️Andrea is about to begin another career in automation and she is waiting to take the test in order to become a full certified 309A Electrician!

▫️ @andie.from.electrical Thank you so much for sharing your incredible story with me! I cannot wait to see what you do next!! ALSO I sincerely hope we get to work together at a Skills Ontario event!!
