The Face Behind it All

Emily Pyke

Emily Pyke is an automotive service technician in Guelph, Ontario. She found her love for cars in high school, when she by chance took a couple of courses out of her normal comfort zone. She did a co-op with a wonderful local shop and decided that this was definitely the path for her! She began working as a lube tech after school and now 6 years later is happily working away at Heffner Lexus in Kitchener, Ontario. Once the pandemic is over, she plans to hit the ground running and tackle the last few courses for her hybrid license. Did I mention she’s also a mom of two little girls? This lady has her hands full but still strives for more experience, knowledge and opportunities.

She was the recipient of the Futures Award, presented by SAIT on International Women’s Day 2021.

She has been invited to speak on several podcasts including TalkShop Podcast, Keep it Spicy Podcast, The LipStick Gang Podcast, Auto Service World Podcast, Trailblazers Inc and Skill Stadium. She created a video with Skill Stadium to share and educate about the process to become an automotive technician.

Emily is thrilled and honoured to be allowed the opportunity to share the stories of tradeswomen all over the world. She has met tons of incredible women through this journey and cannot thank them enough for their continued support and love.
