▪️Jessica is a Communication Technician, or she likes to call it a Telecom Gal.
▫️She always thought about going into the medical field, and even had a plan : Phlebotomy, Surgical Tech, Neurologist. She graduated high school early at 17. At 18, she was a full time student and employee in the Phlebotomy Program.
▪️While in the program, she realized that wasn’t her passion, and she was unhappy. So she started working harder at the restaurant, it eventually paid off. At 18 she became shift manager, at 19 she became the assistant manager. It drained her physically and mentally.
▫️Thankfully, her dad was able to put in a good word at his workplace, she was interviewed and hired. Jessica has been working there for over a year now, and is extremely grateful for her dad’s help!
▪️At first, she was quite intimidated by the other men working. They could carry heavy things on top of 10 foot ladders, pulling 30 cables at a time and knew exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. She never thought she would be able to do it too, but her perseverance paid off. Now she is carrying around 10 foot ladders, carrying 2 50lbs boxes up two flights of stairs and climbing into crazy places to do her job.
▫️2020 has been a difficult and amazing year for Jessica. She has a job that she loves, got engaged to an amazing man, bought her first house, and is starting her own company! Keep your eyes peeled for Blue Collar Beauty – the clothing company designed by Jessica, for women in the trades!
